The CYRA Self-Assessment Tool

With the CYRA Self-Assessment tool, you can carry out a self-assessment for CYRA-IT, CYRA-OT, CYRA-Healthcare or CYRA-NDO. You decide at which CYRA level you wish to complete the assessment. By completing a self-assessment, you immediately see how your company is performing and which areas could be improved. Use of the CYRA tool requires an annual fee.

How Does It Work? 

The tool follows three clear steps: 

  1. Self-Assessment 
    Complete the self-assessment to gain insight into your organisation’s digital resilience and identify areas for improvement.
  1. Download Self-Declaration 
    Once the self-assessment has been completed, you can download the questionnaires and a self-declaration to share with, for example, clients.
  1. Apply for certification
    You can submit the self-assessment for an audit by an accredited certification body. With a certificate, you demonstrate to your partners that the results have been independently verified

About the CYRA Method

The CYRA Method helps organisations to assess, improve and demonstrate their digital resilience. CYRA (Cyber Rating) offers an entry and growth model that aligns with the needs of any organisation. It includes four CYRA levels (Entry, Basic, Intermediate and Advanced), each with three maturity levels.

The method is suitable for organisations across all sectors, regardless of size. Do you rely on digital processes or provide digital services? Are you part of a supply chain? Are you working towards IEC/ISO 27001 certification? Or are you preparing for the Cybersecurity Act? Then the CYRA method is an excellent starting point.

CYRA Modules

The CYRA Method consists of several modules:

  • CYRA-IT: Module to improve information security (based on IEC/ISO 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701)
  • CYRA-OT: Module for organisations with Operational Technology (based on IEC 62443)
  • CYRA-Healthcare: Module for healthcare organisations to improve information security (based on NEN 7510)
  • CYRA-NDO: Digital Criminal infiltration Framework (a separate module with 9 questions that can be combined with CYRA-IT or CYRA-Healthcare)

The CYRA Method is managed by the Centre for Crime Prevention and Safety (the CCV). The CCV is an independent, non-profit organisation with extensive experience in managing certification schemes. It works closely with external experts and the Cybersecurity Committee of Interested Parties.
