CYRA-tool
Laatst gewijzigd op: 21-08-2025With the CYRA Self-Assessment tool, you gain insight into your organisation’s digital resilience. By completing a self-assessment, you immediately see how your company is performing and which areas could be improved. Since August 2025, the new CYRA tool has been available online.

What’s New?
- Option to filter by the status of questions.
- The ability to download completed questionnaires and a CYRA self-declaration.
- Submitting your self-assessment via the tool for an audit with one of the certification bodies.
How Does It Work?
The tool follows three clear steps:
- Self-Assessment
Complete the self-assessment to gain insight into your current level of digital resilience.
- Download Self-Declaration
Once the self-assessment has been completed, you can download the questionnaires and a self-declaration to share with, for example, clients.
- Apply for a Certificate
You can submit your self-assessment for an independent audit. With a certificate, you demonstrate to your partners that the results have been independently verified.
About the CYRA Method
The CYRA method helps organisations to identify, improve, and demonstrate their digital resilience. The model works with an entry-and-growth structure, tailored to the organisation’s cyber risk profile, and consists of four levels: Entry, Basic, Intermediate, and Advanced.
The method is suitable for organisations across all sectors, regardless of size. Do you rely on digital processes or provide digital services? Are you part of a supply chain? Are you working towards ISO 27001 certification? Or preparing for the Cybersecurity Act? Then the CYRA method is an excellent starting point.
Future developments
In 2025, the CYRA method will be expanded with:
- Functionalities for Operational Technology (OT) based on IEC 62443.
- Functionalities for the healthcare sector, based on NEN 7510.
Development and Management
The CYRA method was developed by the Cyber Resilience Centre Brainport in collaboration with businesses and TÜV NORD Nederland. Later, FERM Rotterdam Port Cyber Resilience, MKB Cyber Campus, and The Cyber Partners joined Stichting CYRA.
Since 1 January 2025, the method has been managed by CCV.
